Made it Monday linky

Made it Monday
 Yay! Another Made it Monday!

Yesterday I bribed motivated my children to help me punch out letters and put them in photo albums. (So today we're going bowling. )I saw the idea on someone else's blog, or else on pinterest, I can't remember. It was a pain, but so nice to be organized. And like so many others of you, I did the birthday straw thing. I tried to get close enough to see the straw, because they're shaped like cupcakes. I got them at Target in the party aisle and they were pretty cheap. Cheap enough to make it worth it. You know how sometimes you're in the store and you see something you need, and it's more than you want to pay, but you're there, and you don't want to come back and make ANOTHER trip, so you just say fine, I'll pay more than I wanted to.  It was one of those cases, but cheap enough that it made the cut. The monkey head is an eraser. Erasers are GOLD in our classroom. The circle says "Don't monkey around, have a happy birthday." Not great, but the best I could come up with to fit a monkey eraser. Also from the party aisle at Target.

No news from mantleville. Painted it white, still don't like it. Sigh. Check back during Christmas vacation.  Is it sad that I'm already looking forward to Christmas vacation?

Thank you to everyone who left such great comments after my last post. I really appreciated all of them. I am so thankful for the understanding.
Thanks for reading!

  2. I just read your last post. It makes sense to me, I really appreciate your thinking on the matter. I'm just getting into TpT and I will admit to you that I would like to make some extra money. I'm a single mom and I get no child support. I hope that doesn't sound like poor pitiful me, because I don't feel sorry for myself, but I would like to have some extra $$ to take my daughter to Disney World or some place fun occassionally. I don't ever want my blog to become all about my products ( I only have 1 that's not free right now haha), that not why I started it. Thanks for your thoughts.

After seeing several of these, I need to make the birthday balloons or something. I guess I'll put that on my To Do List. Thanks!

    2. I just read your comment on my blog and laughed because when I saw your gifts, I thought, "I wish I would have seen these before I created mine." I love your monkey erasers with the tag and students love crazy straws. I was thinking maybe I would work the idea into Valentines for the students. Good luck in the giveaway! :)

  6. Thanks for following me! I love those straws! I might add those to my shopping list- I did straws, a bottle of water and a flavor packet for student birthdays last year, and was thinking of doing fun pencils or pens this year, but those straws are to die for!!!

  14. Those monkeys are adorable! I always have that feeling of "might as well get it now, or the gas is going to cost me more in the long run just to come back." But these are super cute finds!
